He did a thorough assessment of my HVAC system and, when he identified an issue, he explained what he saw in terms that I could understand. He called ahead to alert his ETA, cleaned and checked the gas fireplace (insert), replaced the glow embers and batteries, all in a timely, clean, efficient manner. The one rec I'd make is for the tech to ask the homeowner if the log placement/appearance of the fire looks good before they finish.

(The company may be on the higher end cost-wise, and it took over a month for them to schedule the routine maintenance, but I guess they're in demand....)
